PROSThe jacket keeps you very warm. The inside is lined with a warm, but not too thick or bulky layer of fleece and the outside is a vinyl-like material that prevents anything from getting in or out, so all the heat your body generates recirculates in your torso. I wore this into the 30s and never felt cold. In terms of fit, it is true to size. The sleeves are long, but this is useful when cycling as sleeves tend to ride up in cycling positions, but with these longer sleeves, your wrists won't be exposed to the elements while you're on your bike. I appreciate that these jackets come in a variety of bright but not tacky colors to improve your visibility.CONSFor cold weather cycling, it's always a struggle to find a warm jacket with the perfect balance of windproofness and breathability. This jacket is pretty windproof. In 15mph winds, I only felt the slightest bit of wind on my chest. However, this jacket completely sacrifices breathability in the name of windproofness. Even in cooler temps, after just 20 minutes of riding, I feel sticky and clammy because my sweat cannot escape the vinyl-like outer material that provides the windproofness. This is passable on a short commute, but becomes problematic and downright uncomfortable on longer rides.VERDICTFor the $40 I paid, this isn't a bad product. It kept me warm and allowed me to ride as low as 30 degrees. It's probably a good, affordable option for those planning shorter rides. However, its lack of breathability makes longer rides sticky and uncomfortable. Would I buy it again? Only in a pinch. I wore this until I could budget to buy a GORE jacket, which found a much better balance of warmth, breathability and windproofness, but was also more than twice the price (on sale!).I gave 4 stars because like other reviews, I don't understand why a company would make a cold weather jacket without front pockets. I wear this on chilly bike rides to the gym & I do love it for the warmth. It definitely breaks the wind. I usually don't ride under 60 degrees (wind chill makes it colder) . I did wear it on a 5k with only a sports bra & tank when it was 40-45 out & I was cold. I should've wore a long sleeve shirt underneath. I am 5'2 106 lbs & 34d & xs fits perfect. Sleeves are a lil long but that's good because its a lil more coverage over your hands.Great little windbreaker for biking. i love the fit - well-designed and very comfortable to wear while moving. Just the right balance between fittedness for aerodynamics and space for movability. The extra long sleeves are great for pulling over your gloves and preventing wind leaks. The high collar also keeps leaks out at the neck. The extra long tail is a nice feature, and the little pocket at the back is just big enough for storing keys/garage door opener. It is also quite flattering and I get compliments on it. I would say it is only reasonably warm - I live in Wisconsin and have not tried it in super cold weather yet, but it's perfect for a blustery fall. The material is thin but keeps wind out and body warmth in. Maybe it could work for cold winter weather with several thermal layers underneath, but not alone. This is exactly what I was looking for! Living in New England, with chilly spring days, I needed a riding jacket that would be lightweight yet keep me warm, but not too warm on rides. This jacket fits like a glove, feels light to wear, yet keeps me warm on chilly rides. Chilly meaning 35 degrees or so, cloudy, good breeze. I do wear a layer or two under it depending on the actual temp, whether the sun in up, etc. For those interested in fit, I am 5'3", about 135 lbs, with a more athletic build, wide shoulders. The sleeves are a tad long, but I find the length works in my favor to keep wind out. Would absolutely recommend and/or buy again.I loved the quality and fit of this jacket but, unfortunately, it was not any warmer than what I currently have. Ended up getting a PI Insula-Tour jacket from another site. This jacket looks kind of short in the photo, but it wasn't short on me. Of course I'm not tall and slender like the model in the pic :) If you are looking for a lightweight thermal barrier jacket, this is a nice one. I just wanted something more suitable for lower temps.I lOVE this jacket! It arrived on time. The color is great, the sleave are long enough with a nice little accent on the sleeve end. Breathable panels under the arms. If you work up a sweat it's easy to unzip from the top with one hand and ventilate from the front. A zip pocket in the back for keys or can store gloves there too. and extra long in the back to stay covered when riding low. I would recomment this for anyone! I'm 5' 6.5" and 140 lbs and the large fit perfectly; not tight and not baggy.Ordered this awesome jacket to replace the last model of the same jacket (she got in an accident and tore the old one)Don't know why but this one runs a size large the old one (same skew) is a large and fits perfect this one on the other hand is huge.returned to get a medium.great jacket all in all, warm and dry. long sleeves to accommodate the long reach of riding. She uses this jacket on road and mtb.UPDATE......Again went down a size and the jacket fits her like a glove..Excellent jacket, durable, and great rain protection..(Portland, Or)I will say it runs small- and I expected that based on the reviews of others-the sleeves are really long-which when the weather is cooler may be ok-they are like the photo show-long. Wore it the other day at a sporting event and found it to be nicely wind resistant.
