This jersey is nice. Pearl Izumi makes quality products but it’s not without its flaws.Pros:Good fitPockets are good (I like PI’s pleated pocket that makes the pockets bigger)Nice zipper. PI uses larger zippers than most jerseys which I think gives It a robust feelingCons:So-so material. I would much rather have a waffle-knit material. This fleecy material (on the inside) seems a little out of sorts and not stretchy enough for this particular cycling jersey. It’s also not quite as warm as I expected it to be. Sometimes that’s good because I can now wear it in warmer situations, but still.Seems just as well suited as a casual jacket as a piece of cycling kit. I guess that could also be a pro depending on how you want to use it. I was really looking for something cycling specific. All in all a good piece of kit. I use it often and have not been disappointed in it. Good purchase.I started adding some fall/winter gear to my collection this year and found that I liked pretty much everything in Pearl Izumi's 2019 "Quest" line. That includes short-sleeve jerseys, long-sleeve jerseys, thermal jerseys, and their AmFIB jacket.First off, lets talk sizing. For 2019, most of the Quest lined moved to being a "relaxed" fit. Except for this thermal jersey. It is now listed as being a "standard" fit (which, Pearl Izumi tells me is what they used to call "semi-form fit"). I'm really not sure why this thermal jersey is listed as being standard vs the rest of the line being relaxed; it honestly doesn't fit much differently than the long-sleeve jersey in the Quest line. Maybe its a little bit snugger, but it doesn't feel like the "semi-form" of old.If there's one thing that bugs me about PI products is this- the inconsistent sizing. C'mon Pearl. Get it together!ANYWAY. I'm usually a Large in the old "semi-form" fit PI jerseys, but I'm a medium in the 2019 Quest line. Fits a little snugger, but going large semi-form --> large standard was a no-go. Way too loose and baggy. So keep that in mind when considering what size you'd be in this jersey.I love the navy/teal colorway. It looks sharp and modern. Pair it with the Navy One "Attack" full-fingered glove for a nicely matched kit.PERFORMANCE. This thing is seriously warm. It took me a little while to figure out exactly what temps it worked in, for me. I kept over or under-dressing; but once I figured it out this thing is solid. For me, personally, I'm comfortable wearing it down to about 50 (YMMV) if there's no wind or just a light wind. If its windy, or colder than that, I'll throw one of my barrier pullovers on top of it, to layer, and keep the wind off. The great thing is being able to layer it. Like I mentioned, throw a windbreaker over the top if its windy, or if its really cold wear this under an AmFIB jacket and you'll stay seriously toasty.Quality seems to be exactly what you'd expect from Pearl Izumi- absolutely no complaints there whatsoever. This is a typical high-quality Pearl Izumi product, and it was value priced. It fits true to size, and it seems perfect for fall rides. It is a little thinner than I expected, so winter riding will require a base layer underneath. It is hard for me to think of a piece of gear that I spent more time in than one of these PEARL IZUMI thermal jerseys. The 1st one I got was on a great sale so I got it. It worked on the bike and off the bike. Fits great and adds warmth. Truth be told I wore it more off the bike around the house during the winter. I use it as a top layer and a mid layer. I wore the last one for years until the zipper broke. Could not buy a new one fast enough. Very happy with the new one. I will buy more of these.Awesome Jersey, great comfort & w/warmthThe jacket is great quality and I being 5'9" 165 lbs find the Large a perfect fit. My other Pearl Izumi jacket for warm weather is also a Large. So fit is what I thought it would be. I expected it to be warmer. I rode the first night I got it for about 12-13 miles on a 42 degree F afternoon and with a jersey and thermal underwear under it I was a bit cold the entire ride. So I think ideal weather would be upper 40's to 60 degrees. So I would need another layer for colder weather and I do think much above 60 the jacket might be a tad warm for rode riding. Nice jacket though. This jacket is thicker than the usual cycling jersey jackets which made it perfect for colder weather!Too lose at waist
